HOT ITALIAN SAUSAGE SANDWICHES
“Make Italian sausage sandos. All you need is 1 red bell pepper and 1 sweet onion, julienned. Some potato or ciabatta buns, and mayo. Form 4 roughly equal sized patties from the ground sausage. Sear on medium heat in a stainless steel pan until cooked through, about 6 - 8 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside. In the same pan, add julienned peppers and onions and cook on medium heat until soft and slightly translucent, about 8 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside. Before serving, toast your buns on the same pan. Spread a thick layer of mayo and sear for about 1 - 2 minutes on one side. Build your sandwich and serve.” - Chef John
