Honey Garlic Glazed Pork Chops
Ingredients
For the Pork Chops:
2 boneless or bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
1 tsp kosher salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp paprika
1 tbsp olive oil
For the Glaze:
3 tbsp honey
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Optional Garnish:
Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Season the Pork Chops:
Pat the pork chops dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
2. Sear the Pork Chops:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3. Make the Glaze:
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the glaze thickens slightly.
4. Finish the Pork Chops:
Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon the glaze over them. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally to coat both sides, until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
5. Rest and Serve:
Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with the remaining glaze drizzled on top.
Pro Tip: Pair these honey garlic glazed pork chops with steamed rice or roasted sweet potatoes for a sweet-savory balance.
